Victory 44 - Local Restaurant Review 4 Stars

The other night I tried a well-reviewed restaurant near my house. It's part of the new restaurant trend of small plates...not tapas, but similar where you order a few items to make up a meal. Except in the case of the burger, which was a portion similar to any other burger. I've been dreaming about this burger since. I can't really say I've ever dreamt about one before, so that's an ode to it's goodness. Check out the appetizer -- I said to myself when I ate it, I felt like I was on Top Chef and Marcel was about to pop out from around the corner. We went on a night with half-priced drinks, but they have deals almost every night of the week. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Devils on Horseback - Dates wrapped in bacon with dehydrated jalapenos, foam and fluff (I can't remember what this was), a spicy yellow sauce, and these gelatin flavor pops - they were sweet.

The Perfect Burger

Short ribs with fingerling potatoes. When we got this dish, we were really happy that we ordered the burger. This was all of 5 bites. Delicious all the same.
